Yorkshire-based design and build contractor PDR Construction starts the year in top gear after winning over £27m of new business.
The company, which recently moved into purpose-built new offices in Hessle/Hull and Leeds, has been awarded 14 major building contracts including motor dealerships worth £9.4m for Audi, Toyota and Renault.
Work has just started on a £2.8m flagship Audi dealership in Norwich, with a further £1m contract for Audi at its Wheatley Hall Park site in Doncaster currently underway. Projects totalling £3.6m for Toyota in Wakefield and Hull are due for completion in the summer, while a £1m contract for Renault in St Albans started last month.
January also saw the start of a 40-week £3.3m contract for LSS Waste Management, to construct offices, a waste transfer station, a vehicle maintenance workshop and a weighbridge in Cross Green, Leeds.
Property developer Sladen Estates has awarded three contracts totalling £6.5m to construct office units in South Normanton, industrial units in Kirkby in Ashfield, and an infrastructure project in Doncaster.
In South Shields, work has started on a £3.3m 40,000 sq ft retail scheme for Henry Boot Developments.
