PDR are delighted to be working with Ahmadiyya Muslim Community to rebuild and restore the administrative building of the Baitul Futuh Mosque, Morden. The Mosque the largest in Europe, with thousands of people visiting every day.
The rebuild is the result of damage caused by a large fire in 2015, which left the building devastated. It took over 70 fire-fighters to take on the fire and they successfully contained it within the administrative, leaving the mosque and prayer areas untouched.
This project sees PDR working with architects John McAslan & Partners to reconstruct and create longevity for the South London landmark. The reconstruction is due to start early April and is due for completion mid-2020.
Paul Dransfield, Managing Director at PDR ‘The phrase landmark building is overused but not in this case, the Mosque in Morden will be iconic and be a huge community asset for generations to come.’
