Travelodge, Hull

This project involved the transformation of an under-used, neglected car park on one of Hull’s main road network junctions into an 80-bed, timber-framed Travelodge, the city’s first new central hotel for decades.

The hotel was constructed with piled foundations and an innovative combination of a steel podium structure with a 4 storey timber frame. Externally the building is fitted in rainscreen cladding and curtain walling, with a striking entrance feature to welcome its visitors.

Moving inside, we provided a turnkey fit out using the latest bathroom pod system, and fitted the in-house restaurant and bedrooms to Travelodge’s exacting standards to give its customers a reassuring sense of comfort and quality.
